Easter is over. All the planning for church programs, hiding eggs (and finding most of them), wearing our pretty Easter dresses or colorful shirts, Holy Week activities, etc., are over. Now it is, in a sense, “back to normal.” But, why should that be? Aren’t we excited the other 51 weeks of the year that Jesus is Lord? Don’t we contemplate His death, burial and resurrection throughout the year? I hope you do. Just because Easter is behind us does not mean that souls don’t need saving, that people aren’t interested in Jesus any longer or that our worship times together are not important. Yes, we designate a special Sunday for some of these activities but the task of living for Jesus goes on throughout the year. Let’s not withdraw into our shells. Instead, let us continue to boldly proclaim Christ as Lord.
